Research Assistant Clinical Research Facility UCC
1 Year, Specific Purpose, Part-time Post
Position Summary
Applications are invited from highly motivated and suitably qualified candidates for a 12-month 0.6 FTE Research Assistant post with the Statistics, Data & Analysis Unit (SDAU) of the Clinical Research Facility-UCC. The SDAU supports patient-focused researchers associated with UCC and the HSE South/Southwest Hospital Group in the areas of study design, biostatistics, research data management and Open Research.
The successful candidate will be required to perform, coordinate and support research activities that contribute to the portfolio of studies supported by the SDAU. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, organisation and an awareness of time management.
Day-to-day activities include but are not limited to:
1. Leading or assisting with the planning and execution of meetings, workshops and seminars
2. Supporting SDAU protocol and training materials development
3. Documenting meeting outcomes and communicating actions to research teams
4. Supporting project management, tracking and invoicing
5. Contributing to reports and presentations
The successful candidate will be a key member of the SDAU team and will support SDAU activities in line with SDAU objectives. There will be an opportunity to build proficiency and gain experience in clinical research data stewardship. This role offers considerable flexibility in terms of working hours with a mix of on-site and remote working options. The position would be particularly suited to candidates seeking to return to employment or those with child caring responsibilities.

Salary: €31,462 - €41,443 p.a. (IUA Researcher Assistant Salary Scale)
