Overview
The EHS Department now requires an Environmental Intern to join the team.
The successful candidate will enjoy working on multiple large-scale pharmaceutical projects in the Irish and international markets. The role is both office and site based. Depending on the successful candidate’s preference, this opportunity can be permanent or on a contract basis. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have the following experience:
Responsibilities
1. The successful applicant will gain experience in a number of the following areas:
* Environmental Impact Assessments
* Environmental Risk Assessments
* Permitting and Licence Applications
* Air Dispersion Modelling
* Environmental Noise Modelling
* Construction Environmental Management & Monitoring Programmes
* Waste Management
* Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform work in compliance with PM Group’s Quality Management System
2. Demonstrate knowledge of PM Group and/or industry standard methodologies and tools
3. Carry out site visits / site surveys
4. Interact and communicate with own department, other departments, project team members, clients and other external parties to ensure co-ordination of activities
Personal Specification:
* Strong work ethic
* Good communication skills both verbal and written and ability to work within a multi-discipline team environment
* Ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines
Qualifications
* Completing a degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Chemical/Environmental Science or Engineering
* Good knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and EU BAT/BREF
* Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and their practical application to industry
* Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies).
