We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to design and build a large scale next generation Authentication Management System.
There is ample opportunity to innovate and deliver high impact outcomes.
You will collaborate with the leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that will influence the Amazon developer experience.
You will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle across the entire Amazon development community, including design, implementation, documentation, deployment, and operations across multiple products.
Successful candidates for this position will have strong software engineering fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and a good grasp of advanced systems concepts and design.
They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high results.
They need to really enjoy working closely with their peers within a group of very talented engineers and builders.
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months.
We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault-tolerant.
When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
