Duties & responsibilities
* Plan, manage and evaluate dispatch and logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, hauliers and customers.
* Deliver solutions to logistics/dispatch problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
* Overall responsibility for all Dispatch functions, coordinating goods in, accurate storage, picking and order despatch.
* Responsibility for ensuring all orders are efficiently shipped on time, working to agreed KPI’s and transfer schedules.
* Monitor stock movements to ensure that minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained
* Conduct the final quality inspections on all outgoing warehouse stock
* Responsibility for vehicle maintenance & repairs
* Coordinating insurance cover – add or removing drivers / providing info for annual renewal.
* Arrange cover vehicles when vans are off the road.
* Arrange CVRT Testing.
* Arrange Motor Tax through the finance team
* Managing and coordinating our online tracker system.
* Arranging fuel cards through the finance team.
Skills & Experience
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in FMCG managing a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Motivated to make a difference in a challenging and fast-paced environment
* Ability to prioritise tasks as per deadline requirements
* Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
* Expert knowledge of technical regulations such as import/export and customs regulations
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, train, coach and develop people.
* Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.
* Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
* Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
