DPD Ireland are currently recruiting a People Operations Generalist (Maternity Cover) to work as part of our People Operations Team in our Head Office in Athlone.
Reporting directly to the Senior People Operations Generalist, this is a busy and varied role. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their career as you will gain exposure to all aspects of the full employee life-cycle for a large, busy organisation, whilst working with and learning from experienced People Professionals.
The main aim of the role is to ensure the organisation achieves its goals by creating and delivering on our people strategy and providing full people management service to all Managers and Employees throughout the business.
Responsibilities:
* Support the execution of recruitment plans, attracting and recruiting candidates through a variety of recruitment initiatives.
* Support business leaders to manage the on/off boarding experiences for all employees.
* Continuously drive improvements in all HR tools and processes used throughout the employee life cycle and promote a positive employee experience.
* Instrumental in protecting employees' personal, confidential and sensitive information by ensuring great governance.
* The provision of support, advice and guidance on all employee-related matters including company employment policies and procedures, grievances, disciplinary, health and welfare matters.
* The development, updating and communication of policies and procedures to meet the needs of the business and in compliance with changing Irish legislation and case law.
* Promoting and supporting equality, inclusion and diversity creating a culture where everyone feels respected, valued and heard.
* Responsible for producing all people reporting requirements to a high degree of quality and continuously improving our reporting and insights on an ongoing basis.
* Assist with salary payroll instructions.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of People Operations Administrators.
* As part of the People Operations Team assist with research, design and delivery of successful employee events.
* Responsible for initiation, planning, execution, reviewing and closing of People Projects as they arise.
Candidate Requirements:
* A degree or qualification in HR or a related discipline is desirable.
* Minimum 2 years experience in a People Operations Generalist role.
* Working knowledge of employment law required.
* Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office software essential including advanced Excel skills.
* Approachable, helpful and relates well to people, all of the time. Champions respect, care and honesty with others.
* Communicates with others in a way that conveys passion for the business, energies others and leads to impactful outcomes.
* Finds improvements and efficiencies in processes and activities. Works flexibly and quickly adapts to change.
* Flexibility with regard to working hours is required.
