Full Time 37.5 hours per week ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality, evidence-based patient care as part of a devoted and friendly nursing team, working within the NMBI scope of practice.In charge of overseeing the department's general operations and making sure that all employees provide patient care in compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.In charge of assigning and overseeing floor personnel tasks.As decided by the director of nursing, the sister-in-charge is in charge of administrative tasks after hours.Regularly evaluates the floor's workload, examining output, performance, and quality to guarantee better patient care.Maintains positive working connections and makes ensuring that departments and other disciplines communicate effectively.Compiles patient reports and returns for the administrative, nursing, and medical staff as needed.RequirementsR.G.N. Five years post registration experienceAppropriate management background and/or credentials Outstanding communication, leadership, responsibility, and interpersonal skills; suitable clinical and managerial abilities with proof of ongoing professional development The roster will typically operate five days a week, although in accordance with service standards, a flexible approach to work schedules is necessary.In addition to having five years of nursing experience since obtaining state registration—ideally in an acute general medical or surgical setting—the position holder must meet the requirements for a minimum level of RGN.Experience and a relevant management qualification are needed.The position holder will be expected to have a flexible mindset in order to adapt to changes as needed to maintain patient care.
