Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will plan, organise, and coordinate logistics activities in alignment with production schedules. This role involves accurately scheduling transport activities without waste or impeding objectives, balancing transport resources, and managing the movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with KC Freight forwarder on the movement of finished product from KC Facility to final destinations.
* Manage paperwork creation for despatches inside and outside the EU, adhering to regulatory requirements.
* Develop a transport plan based on production forecasts with the Supply Chain Team.
* Communicate weekly/monthly/quarterly with KC Freight Forwarder confirming transport plans.
* Work with the Warehousing team to ensure timely sales order dispatches.
* Carry out daily administration tasks on M3, ensuring transactions are completed in a timely manner.
* Manage file administration, keeping key metrics up-to-date around current logistics forecasts, plans, and actuals.
* Coordinate with Buyer/Planners and warehousing teams on material receipt planning.
* Communicate with Logistics companies daily and weekly regarding transport to and from Kilkenny Cheese.
* Attend Tiered meetings and report back to the Supply Chain team on required actions.
* Present service level KPIs for the Supply Chain function at daily and weekly SC meetings.
Requirements
* Capable of working with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate consensus forecasts.
* Excellent computer skills and good command of Excel.
* Exceptional analytical skills; good attention to detail and well organised.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of Dairy or similar food processing industry.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Previous experience in a logistic role would be desirable.
