Transway Spares Ltd is part of the Transway Fleet Solutions group and this year celebrates 40 years in business, serving the transport industry in Ireland. With that, the company is now looking to the next 40 years of business and is looking to expand our team and create an environment where staff members can grow and progress with the company. Transway Spares specialises in spare parts for articulated trailers.
We have an opportunity for an engineering graduate or former mechanic to join the team and together deliver a great Customer Experience to our existing customer base.
This is a hands-on role where you will be working with our existing spare parts and after-sales team. The role is flexible as it crosses over with the warehouse and supplying parts to our existing service workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver a great Customer Experience through customer interaction & delivery of a high level of service.
2. Process orders & requests for spare parts for external customers.
3. Process orders & requests for spare parts for our own service warehouse.
4. Uphold a high level of data management within our inventory software system in regard to booking parts in and out of the system.
5. Pick & pack stock items for orders from the warehouse.
6. Receive and place stock items into stock in the warehouse.
7. Build and maintain an excellent knowledge of the stock list and the inventory software system.
8. Build and maintain positive customer relations with our existing customers.
9. Participate in existing company housekeeping and H&S procedures.
10. Pro-actively contribute to departmental & inter-departmental teamwork and support the overall company vision and values.
11. Fulfil order deliveries in the local area.
12. Participate in stock take & stock cleansing.
Knowledge & Skills:
1. Mechanical, equipment fitter or engineering background is an advantage but not essential.
2. Experience in customer relations and dealing with external clients.
3. Forklift licence.
4. Drivers Licence – Category C.
5. Computer literacy.
6. Ability to learn on your own initiative and gain new knowledge.
7. Ability to organise and manage your own productivity.

Additional Information:
1. The hours of attendance are from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required.
