Software Development Manager, Lambda Experience
AWS Lambda, at the heart of the Serverless movement, is a fast-growing service that is becoming the default compute infrastructure for a wide range of applications.
We are looking for a proven leader to help lead teams of exceptional software engineers to tackle some of the hardest problems at global scale. We want someone who has a proven record of delivering highly operable and maintainable software on time, has relentlessly high standards for themselves and everyone around them, and who will drive engineering best practices while constantly looking for ways to make the systems we own better.
The ideal candidate will look like this:

2. Enjoy being a great people manager, i.e., building, motivating, and mentoring a world-class software engineering team is the most important part of this role. 4. Create a team vision and product roadmap and set SMART goals for the team and individuals alike.
5. Be intensely customer-focused: you understand your customers’ challenges and are constantly looking for ways to solve them.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
2. Experience in engineering team management.
3. Experience in leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
4. Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
5. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
6. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective, product software engineers.
