Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on driving Operational Excellence across key workstreams. This role is critical to our ongoing efforts to enhance cost efficiency, centralisation, outsourcing, offshoring, and automation. The Business Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of activities including data analysis, documentation review, workshop facilitation, process mapping, and progress reporting. You will work closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that all business analysis activities are executed effectively and contribute to the success of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
1. Contribute to operational improvements in the areas of cost efficiency, centralisation, outsourcing, offshoring, and automation.
2. Identify areas for process optimisation and support the implementation of process changes.
Business Analysis Ownership:
1. Take full ownership of all business analysis activities, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
2. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvements.
3. Perform documentation reviews to ensure all project materials are accurate and complete.
4. Organise and facilitate workshops to gather business requirements and promote collaboration across teams.
5. Take detailed notes during workshops and meetings, ensuring key takeaways and action items are captured.
Discovery & Process Mapping:
1. Lead discovery sessions to gather insights and define business needs.
2. Develop process maps to visualise workflows, identify pain points, and streamline processes.
Progress Reporting:
1. Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
2. Prepare progress reports for stakeholders and management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and action plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
1. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, business leaders, and other teams to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities.
2. Assist in the translation of business requirements into technical specifications or action plans.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in operational excellence or process improvement initiatives.
3. Strong experience with data analysis, process mapping, and business documentation.
4. Familiarity with operational efficiency frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
5. Knowledge of outsourcing, offshoring, and automation trends and best practices.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
7. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
