VPE Automation Engineer - Pharmaceuticals
We are seeking a highly skilled VPE Automation Engineer to work on an exciting CapEx project in Ireland. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with System Integrators to design VPE/OEM hardware/software/network meeting project requirements.
* Define elements of VPE scope for Project Execution and Verification Plan.
* Review and approve System Integrator design documentation as required.
* Monitor System Integrator progress and adherence to project schedule.
* Attend equipment and software FATs/SATs as required.
* Define Interface/Data Exchange Lists to interface OEM equipment with DeltaV system.
* Review/approve changes to automation scope relevant to VPE/OEM equipment.
* Ensure project standards and SOPs are followed and software meets project requirements.
* Collaborate with project and site teams (Process, Operations, ASV, Quality etc.) to ensure adherence to standards and timely delivery.
Commissioning/Verification Phase:
* Manage the activities of the VPE team.
* Ensure adherence to CQV schedule.
* Ensure sufficient automation VPE support for CQV phase.
* Perform software DSATs on delivery of equipment to site.
* Integrate VPE/OEM equipment to site systems (AD, NTP, PI etc.).
* Execute automation elements of equipment SAT.
* Troubleshoot issues as they occur, determine solutions and implement.
* Review/approve automation changes relevant to VPE/OEM equipment.
* Manage software changes and downloads.
* Review and approve system acceptance and release reports.
Requirements:
* Extensive automation experience with vendor packaging equipment.
* Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix.
* Previous pharma and GMP experience.
* Experience with clean utilities - clean steam, wfi, parts washers, autoclaves, centrifuges etc.
* Willingness to travel for FAT's.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and strong communication abilities. The salary for this role is €60,000-€80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
