Hyreus are currently recruiting for a Service Manager to look after our clients Datacentre service contracts, overseeing the mechanical service engineers.
Responsibilities:
Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and the Client / Data Centre Owner
* Principal contact for all mechanical requirements internally as well as being responsible for relationship with data centre client / owner.
* Use CMMS to create work orders and approval of hours.
* Review / approve all submitted method statements & risk assessments
* Monitor & ensure all spares relating to the Mechanical & Data Centre systems are in place
* Responsible for the development and training of mechanical / HVAC technicians to ensure robust succession plans for the Data Centre team.
* Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and appropriate PPE when required.
* Assist the technical manager in technical staff management, development, and appraisal within the constraints of the contract and policies
* Assist technical manager on the recruitment of new staff by providing technical assessment or all new candidates interviewing to join the team on site.
The candidate:
* An innate understanding of HVAC, controls and BMS, ideally in a Datacentre / Critical Environment.
* Exposure to BMS, UPS AHU's, VSD's and Fire Systems
* Understanding of relay logic, PLC's, BMS and integration in datacentre environment.
* Ideally trade / time served qualified in a Mechanical or HVAC / Refrigeration / Cooling field
