Position Summary
Applications are invited for the role of a part-time (0.8 FTE) Post-Doctoral Researcher within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1994 and since then a wide range of programmes have been developed at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. In addition, the School has a growing suite of Continuing Professional Development modules supporting life-long learning. Since 2012, the School has actively engaged in international recruitment and now has a growing body of international students. The School now has over 1,300 students and is one of the largest in the University. The School is committed to excellence and leadership in teaching, practice and research involving close collaborative relationships with health service providers, and national and international educators and researchers. The School holds the Athena Swan Bronze Award and is in the top 50 in QS Rankings.
The Post-Doctoral Researcher will have responsibility for developing the education and training of a palliative care research programme in association with the PIs and research teams on an international Horizon Europe funded research project called In-Touch. Project Title: In-Touch: Implementation of a person-centered palliative care iNtervention To imprOve comfort, QUality of Life and social engagement of people with advanced dementia in Care Homes / Virtual Reality-Talks.
Post Duration: 12 Months.
Salary: €44,347 - €50,805 per annum (IUA PD1 Scale) pro rata 0.8 FTE
