Sanderson are partnering with a medium sized accountancy practice based in Co Louth, to recruit a talented Audit Director to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Audit Director to lead the audit department. This role offers a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate. The Audit Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the audit function, ensuring compliance with FRS standards, and managing relationships with ACCA inspectors. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the audit team, including 12 direct reports. Oversee workflow management to ensure efficient and effective audit processes. Maintain strong technical accounting knowledge and apply it to complex audit issues. Manage relationships with ACCA inspectors and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. Provide leadership and mentorship to audit staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of audit findings into overall business strategy. Qualifications & Experience required: ACCA or ACA qualification with at least 10 years PQE Experienced working at Audit Director or Associate Director level within a top 10 accountancy firm in Ireland Full driving license and access to a car Strong technical accounting knowledge, including FRS standards. Proven experience in people management and workflow management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage relationships with ACCA inspectors effectively.
