Key responsibilities:
* Manage a large team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
* Supervise cleaning standards across the facility, including offices, floors, communal areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, kitchens, and toilets.
* Engage with customers when necessary, providing a friendly and helpful demeanor.
* Ensure all Health & Safety protocols are followed, and complete relevant records and reports.
* Inform management of stock levels for replenishment.
* Safeguard and store lost and found items.
* Create and maintain a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for both customers and colleagues.
* Stay mindful of cleaning needs, ensuring a high level of care, reliability, and attention to detail.
* Follow an agreed-upon cleaning roster to manage designated areas and tasks, in collaboration with your line manager.
* Dispose of waste responsibly using the appropriate systems.
* Actively address any unhygienic practices that may pose safety risks.
* Participate in annual risk assessments for your assigned areas.
* Safely operate cleaning tools and machinery, and report any malfunctions.
* Present yourself in a clean, professional manner at all times.
* Engage in company events such as performance reviews, training, and surveys.
* Be flexible and assist with other duties as required by management.
* Maintain full compliance with ISO standards.
* Assist with setting up and organizing spaces for events or meetings as needed.
* Team Management: Oversee and manage a large team of cleaning staff, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Machinery Knowledge: Utilize your excellent knowledge of cleaning-related machinery to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
* Roster Management: Coordinate and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all cleaning tasks.
* Planning & Scheduling: Plan and schedule periodic works (e.g., deep cleans, special projects) to meet facility needs.
* Self-motivation: Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to resolve issues and improve the overall cleanliness of the facility.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous cleaning experience is preferred (at least 3 years). Experience as a supervisor in a retail park or large commercial development area is also preferred.
* Languages: Proficiency in English is preferred.
* License/Certification: A valid driving license is preferred but not required.
