FRS Recruitment is inviting applications for an Agri Retail Sales Assistant on behalf of our Client, a renowned manufacturer of premium-quality animal feed with over 100 years of experience.
About the Role
This position is ideal for individuals who have worked in the Agri, Equine or Pet retail industry and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. The role will encompass various aspects of the business, including agri crop treatment and veterinary supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and support to customers on a wide range of products.
* Restock display areas regularly to ensure product availability at all times.
* Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness, including shop floor, stores, and display areas.
* Handle cheques, cash, and balance the till at the end of each day.
* Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the retail outlet.
* Adhere to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.
* Participate in regular stocktakes and stock counts, involving physical checks of units in stock.
* Coding, pricing, and updating prices on goods for sale.
Candidate Profile
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A keen customer focus.
* A strong interest in the agricultural industry, including animal and health nutrition.
* Ability to prioritize work and work independently.
* Previous counter sales experience (1-2 years) is an advantage.
* Previous retail experience is a distinct advantage.
* SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
* Microsoft Office knowledge.
* Educated to Leaving Certificate level.
* Level 6 or 7 certification in an Agri-related discipline is a distinct advantage.
