We are looking for an energized & passionate Conference & Banqueting Manager to be a part of The Metropole Hotel.
Guest Services
1. Ensure that the team receives training to enable them to carry out an effective and professional service.
2. Inform F&B Operations Manager of positive and negative opinions.
3. Address guest complaints in the correct manner.
4. Check and maintain all spaces including Tea rooms, The Met restaurant and Bar, Terrace while on duty and report any areas which require maintenance.
5. Guest relations - Ensure table touches, reservations, table allocations, special occasions, etc. are completed daily.
Training & Development
1. Take responsibility for operational on-the-job training of all team members, completing new SOPs and updating existing ones as standards and operations change.
2. Responsible for training scheduling, recording, and follow-up at all times.
3. Evaluate and give feedback on the performance of department team members regularly.
Operations
1. Keep aware of trends, practices, and equipment in F&B presentation and service in the industry through trade literature and competition checks.
2. Responsible for a proactive level of service within the operation.
3. Ensure the team adheres to the operational policies of the restaurants and bars.
4. Participate in the operation of the outlet when necessary, by taking orders, serving, etc. ensuring guests are in no way inconvenienced.
5. Ensure that the opening and closing procedures are carried out and checked regularly.
Staffing
1. Review weekly rosters of floor and bar team members within the operation to maximize customer satisfaction, ensuring payroll is controlled and monitored according to business levels and in line with budgetary targets.
2. Ensure that the team has clear goals and responsibilities for all daily and weekly tasks in the form of an operational daily task plan.
3. Manage standards of personal hygiene and uniform in all outlets.
