Maintenance Technicians x 3 for Pharma Manufacturing in West Dublin
Cpl are once again supporting our client partner who is a world leader in the Pharma and Healthcare products Manufacturing and supply industry.
Due to continued business growth and site expansion, they have an immediate job vacancy for a number of Full-Time Skilled and experienced Maintenance and/or Facilities Technicians for their pharma and healthcare product production facility in Grangecastle Business Park.
The Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical OR Electrical) are part of a team of high performing craft and Utilities and facilities professionals.
The plant currently runs on a 2-cycle shift pattern (there are plans for a 3 cycle shift when they complete the build of their new drug product production plant which will require another maintenance team).
Shift pattern:
1. Week 1 – Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.30pm
2. Week 2 – Monday to Friday 2.30pm to 10pm
The job requires the Maintenance Technician to set-up, install, maintain, and support pharmaceutical production, packaging and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance and support the achievement of operational goals.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
* Deliver and improve performance targets in safety, quality, service, cost and asset care.
* Carry out routine maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
* Log larger problems that require corrective action for incorporation in the scheduled maintenance plan.
* Carry out electrical compliance, statutory maintenance, and shutdown maintenance.
* Execute project activities in support of engineering capital projects.
* Record maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure records are up to date, job durations are correct, and corrective maintenance is captured.
* Identify improvements to PM schedules and work with the Maintenance Team Leader and Planner to implement these.
* Support operational teams in maintenance and cleaning days.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 3rd Level Mechanical, Electrical and/or Automation qualification with time served.
* 3-5 years’ experience in a medium-high speed packaging environment.
* Extensive knowledge of packaging equipment including PLC’s / SCADA / INDUSTRIAL IT SYSTEMS (Siemens beneficial).
* Experience in lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving culture with asset care and equipment reliability.
* Asset management experience through a recognised CMMS system.
* Basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, budgeting processes.
* Excellent process improvement and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of lean manufacturing excellence techniques.
* Computer literate in MS Office and business systems (e.g. SAP, CMMS).
* Strong numerical and verbal reasoning.
