Job Description:
A well-established food production company based in the Kilkenny/Carlow area is recruiting for an Industrial/Maintenance Electrician.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide mechanical maintenance electrical support to the operation of the manufacturing process and utility systems.
* Carry out scheduled service on plant equipment.
* Carry out electrical service and installation, as well as projects.
* Responsible for the electrical installation of plant equipment and machinery on site and carrying out diagnostics and repair of malfunctioning equipment following schematic drawings and procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
* Evaluate and ensure that equipment is maintained to produce at optimum efficiency.
* Perform all planned and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner to reduce impact on production levels.
* Participate in changeover activities at performance levels expected to ensure smooth transition between different product types.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team and production management to identify performance/OEE issues and resolve according to priority list set by the Maintenance Manager and Production Management.

This Industrial Electrician role operates on a 2-shift cycle, consisting of two weeks of mornings (6am-2:30pm) followed by two weeks of evenings (1pm-9:30pm).
The salary is €55k plus a 15% shift allowance when on evenings, as well as 5% pension and life assurance (four times annual salary).

Requirements:
* Be a qualified electrician from an industrial/production/manufacturing or installation background.
* Have the ability to read schematics and follow drawings.
