A competitive package is on offer for the successful candidate.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work closely with the Group Head of Internal Audit. Responsibilities include:Manage internal audit assignments throughout the group, working with both internal staff and co-sourced resources as needed. Deputise for Group Head of Internal Audit as needed at Board and Audit Committee level.Ensure that detailed audit work is effectively focused on areas of highest risk, and ensuring maximum payback from the assignment.Ensure internal audit reports make clear recommendations providing practical solutions to mitigate any control gaps and improve operations. Lead follow-up audits to ensure there has been remediation of issues identifiedAssist in carrying out special analyses or reviews as requested by CEO or Audit CommitteeWork closely with the rest of the Group Internal Audit team - this is a small and highly collaborative teamQualificationsQualified accountant and trained auditor with large firm experience, with 5 to 10 yrs post qualification experience preferably in industry.Exceptional written English and presentation skills Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with the stature and gravitas to quickly command the confidence and respect of the senior management team. Demonstrate several years of people management experienceAbility to effortlessly move between different audit approaches as needed (agile approach, full scope approach, advisory work, forensic investigations) and knowledge of different model audit workpapers to maintain for each approach. Strong organisation and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments is a prerequisiteRole will encompass some but not extensive travel both domestic and international (circa 10% max).
