Job Description:
The position requires a mechanical engineer to provide complete system design solutions, improving product performance and reliability through verification and validation activities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design mechanical systems for improved product performance and reliability
* Coach and mentor other engineers in the team
* Support initiatives from design to product maturity
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management control systems and configuration control is required. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating electromechanical sub-assemblies into complex systems, including fluidics, optics, sensing, electronics, and software elements.
A strong problem-solving ability, with a structured analytical approach, is essential. Experience with simulation packages (CFD, FEA), GD&T, and applicable standards is advantageous.
The successful candidate will also have practical experience with supplier or manufacturing fabrication processes and knowledge of material properties to support design choices.
Additionally, experience with control systems engineering, the Machinery Directive, CE Marking, and relevant safety standards is desirable.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent
* 8+ years' relevant engineering experience
* Excellent CAD modeling skills and understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack ups
* Strong mechanical/electromechanical/systems design skills for products and manufacturing fixtures
* Ability to work in a high-paced environment and deliver solutions at pace
* Proven track record in delivering effective solutions from concept to implementation
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
