We are hiring a Senior Healthcare Assistant for one of the best Nursing Homes in Co Cork who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social, physical, and mental stimulation.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to and enhance the quality of Resident activities and events.
* Supervise and assist with the training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
* By liaising with the Unit PIC and CNM, ensure that adequate arrangements are made for the reception of new Residents, and that they are made to feel welcome and secure.
* Ensure the highest quality care is delivered by Healthcare Assistants to assigned Residents.
* Participate in assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of your line manager (e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support, and all other aspects of daily living).
* Support the nursing staff in organizing the day-to-day allocation of work.
Requirements
* QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or equivalent.
* Excellent track record as a high-performing Healthcare worker.
* Elder care experience (2 years + experience).
* Ability to motivate, supervise, and inspire colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent personal care abilities.
