Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present monthly management accounts, providing commentary and analysis on key performance indicators.
* Interact with stakeholders, including shareholders, providing financial reports and information to ensure governance and meet business requirements.
* Compile and prepare consolidated financial statements.
* Support the statutory audit and year-end process, ensuring timely deliverables to external accountants/auditors.
* Assist in planning and budgeting forecasts, reporting on management and performance at regional and group levels.
* Oversee intercompany accounting, reviewing balances, reconciliations, and payment transactions across the group.
* Provide financial assistance to other departments as required.
* Manage general ledger maintenance, including journals, accruals, prepayments, bank transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Perform P&L analysis, budget reporting, and variance analysis.
* Take a proactive approach to reflecting changing business needs, assisting with financial risk reviews for new projects.
Finance Operations Management
* Lead and manage team members in all financial operational matters.
* Improve financial processes and assist in implementing cost-effective management throughout the group.
* Oversee finance operations, including AR, AP, payroll processes, and Xero software management.
* Maintain internal trackers and support non-finance colleagues in developing financial awareness.
Requirements
* Part or fully qualified accountant (preference) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5+ years' relevant experience in a similar role.
* Month end reporting and business reporting experience.
* Commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Independent and able to take initiative.
