About this opportunity
We are now looking for an Engineer for one of our applications in Ericsson Intelligent Controller (EIC). The application is currently residing in DG Automation and is crucial for the Automation space. As an Engineer in this area, you will work with all the latest cloud technologies.
What you will do
* Develop Cloud Native Java Spring Boot microservices.
* Work with 3pp’s like Kafka to move substantial amounts of data around.
* Ensure the high throughput of massive amounts of network element data by designing performant code.
* Design/Test/Review code to a high standard.
* Produce world class SDK contributions to enable our customers get the most from the Automation Platform.
* Work with architects to design the best solutions to meet customer needs.
* Perform demos to customers when required.
* Solve and diagnose issues on live systems using the likes of DDP, Grafana, CNOM dashboard etc.
* Prototype new ideas and innovations.
The skills you will bring:
* Proficient in Cloud Native Software Development, including at least one high level language like Java.
* Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge.
* Innovating, adapting, and responding to change.
* Delivering results and meeting customer expectation.
* Planning and Organization skills.
* Local Candidates will be preferred.
This is a hybrid position based at our Ireland Athlone Office.
