We are seeking a qualified and experienced EHS & Facility Officer to join our growing team at our fabrication and manufacturing facility of HVAC equipment in Newmarket, Co. Cork. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, while also overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. This position will report into our current EHS Advisor.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that comply with all relevant Irish and EU regulations.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
* Manage the facility maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
* Oversee janitorial and housekeeping services.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
* Develop and implement a waste management program.
* Manage the facility budget for EHS and facilities related expenses.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest EHS and facility management best practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar EHS & Facility Management role.
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management would be a plus).
* Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs.
* Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections.
* Strong understanding of relevant Irish and EU EHS regulations.
* Experience with facility maintenance and management.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
