Site Manager – Waterford
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor on an upcoming project in Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Embedded HS&E Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, prioritizing Safety as the number one core value.
* Liaise with Project Stakeholders: Collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and workforce involved in the project.
* Spearhead Project Execution: Support all aspects of Project Team functions, including PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out.
* Develop and Execute Plans: Prepare contract reports, provide updates to monthly cost meetings, and plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with construction.
* Coordinate Project Activities: Ensure alignment with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures, and Engineering Specifications.
* Meet Agreed Objectives: Achieve timely delivery, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
* Embed 'Right First Time' Philosophy: Focus on delivering high-quality results throughout the project life cycle.
* Communicate Progress: Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, keeping them informed of progress.
* Ensure Quality and Safety: Oversee quality control and safety matters on site, ensuring adherence to regulations.
* Handle Technical Queries: Interface with clients, consultants, and architects regarding RFI's.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Degree in Engineering Discipline: Civil, Structural, or Construction Management.
* Industry Experience: Ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of Construction Industry: In-depth understanding of project execution and industry best practices.
* Computer Literacy: Familiarity with MS Office, Project, and scheduling packages.
* Safety and Quality Management: Good knowledge of safety management and quality management principles.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to lead with confidence, mentor, and motivate staff.
