Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities at a large multinational customer site.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all operational activities and liaising with both internal teams and the client to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, operational oversight, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Activities Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.Manage the scope, schedule, and resources to ensure successful execution.Regularly monitor and review the progress of each activity, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.Coordinate with program managers or designated leads to ensure alignment with overall operational goals.Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage an on-site team to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project status, address issues, and ensure clear communication.Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Be responsible for the upkeep of the professional image of the company on the customer site.Client Liaison: Serve as the primary daily point of contact on the customer site, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.Ensure clear and consistent communication with the client, addressing any concerns and providing regular progress updates.Collaborate with the customer's management team to align operational efforts with client expectations.Operational Efficiency: Optimize resources, processes, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements on-site.Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline operations.Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present regular operational reports, activity updates, and performance metrics to senior management.Maintain accurate documentation of activity milestones, operational processes, and key decisions.Support the completion of audits and assessments as required.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks and issues related to the key activities.Proactively manage potential challenges, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to avoid delays, product stock outs etc.Key Skills & Experience: Education & Experience: Project Management certification is advantageous.Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operations or project management role, preferably in a customer-facing environment.Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently, with a focus on operational execution.Strong background in leading and managing teams, with a demonstrated ability to drive performance and foster collaboration.Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, and teams at all levels.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.Personal Attributes: Proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven.Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.Adaptable and able to manage change in a dynamic environment.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and process improvement.
