Senior Practice Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Senior Practice Accountant to join our team at {company} in Galway city. As a pivotal member of our practice, you will oversee a range of accounting and financial services, leveraging your expertise in Accounting, Auditing, Insolvency, Tax, and Tax Compliance to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting:
o Prepare, analyse, and present financial reports for clients.
o Provide strategic financial advice to support business decision-making.
o Develop budgeting and forecasting models to aid client financial planning.
* Auditing:
o Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients.
o Ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
o Identify and address areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Insolvency:
o Manage insolvency cases including members voluntary liquidations, creditors voluntary liquidations, and strike offs.
o Liaise with creditors, debtors, and legal representatives.
o Develop and implement strategies for asset recovery and distribution.
* Tax and Tax Compliance:
o Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
o Provide tax planning advice and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
* Client Relations:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
o Address client queries and provide timely, accurate advice.
o Conduct client meetings and presentations as needed.
* Team Leadership and Development:
o Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
o Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Requirements:
* A qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA).
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a practice environment.
* Extensive experience in Accounting, Auditing, Insolvency, Tax, and Tax Compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
* The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
