The Kepak Group are looking to recruit the right person for a temporary Quality Control Technician role to cover our manufacturing facility in McCarren Meats in Cavan.

Quality Control Technician
REPORTING TO:
Quality Manager Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out hourly product checks on production line Ensure product is produced to the customer specifications.
Perform routine traceability product checks Investigating and reporting and non-conforming material in production areas Prepare export pre-shipment reviews for DAFM Specification administration Conducting GMP/Glass and Hard Plastic Audits within the laboratory and production areas Partake in any additional projects that will improve the QA area Carry out Trichinella testing in line with DAFM requirements Stock control for all laboratory equipment and chemicals Sample preparation for External laboratory
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:
Food Science/Food Technology qualification or related Previous experience working in a food environment would be a distinct advantage KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES /
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Passion to work in the food industry Written and spoken English fluency Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office PERSONAL ATTRIBUES /
