Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced technical individual contributor to join our Digital Capability and work alongside our Digital, Data and Platform Leads. Our Digital Capability is expanding rapidly, providing opportunities to achieve medium and long-term career goals while shaping strategic direction regarding technology solutions, focusing on Cloud technology (Azure & AWS).
Reporting to either the Private or Financial Services Digital Sector Lead, you will be part of the Digital Sector team made up of other likeminded Technology Principals, focusing on either private or financial services clients.
Key responsibilities include understanding customer needs, ensuring successful technical delivery, establishing technical direction, delivering technical excellence, and driving innovation. You will experience a wide range of work with a strategic focus and hands-on problem-solving with teams when required.
You should bring experience working with small and large private or financial organizations, delivering critical or high-profile outcomes. Comfort with application modernization and commonly used technologies and languages is essential.
Qualifications:
1. Proven breadth of experience and accountability across various types of technology deliveries (e.g., digital transformation, app modernization, product development).
2. Proven experience across architecture, engineering, application, integration, and cloud (AWS, Azure) technologies.
3. Deep understanding of delivering high quality, reliable, scalable, secure, and observable software solutions, encompassing Agile methodologies, proven design patterns, DevOps tooling, continuous delivery, test automation, and monitoring.
4. Experience in shaping, managing, and leading large/complex technical workstreams within global multi-supplier engagements.
5. Practical engineering background to lead development teams, resolve technical issues, and prioritize non-functional requirements for successful technical delivery.
6. Able to establish excellence in technical delivery, identify and mitigate risks early, and recover challenged technical deliveries.
7. Effective communication skills with senior stakeholders to negotiate, influence, and shape positive technology outcomes.
8. Commercial and business awareness to drive business growth across an account through pre-sales activities such as preparing and delivering presentations, bid responses, writing technical and commercial documents, and assisting in project forecasting, planning, estimation, and delivery.
9. Able to produce and validate estimates for various sized engagements, from projects to programs of work.
10. Able to prioritize your time across multiple engagements, particularly when working to deadlines.
11. Promote reuse and enhanced working practices, processes, guidance, and templates.
12. Demonstrated ability in managing, coaching, and developing team members, including performance management activities.
13. Involvement in the tech community and active observation of the latest trends and technologies, including standards, legislation, and regulation relevant to the sector.
14. Excellent verbal and written English ability.
