At Amazon, we have hundreds of facilities across Europe that serve as hubs for collaboration and innovation. As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our working environment is supportive and efficient.
Your focus will be on leading and mentoring a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting colleagues in site compliance with safety policies and procedures
* Implementing EU network standards, planning preventative maintenance, and ensuring technical availability
* Collaborating with colleagues to collect and analyze data to improve processes
* Delivering and supporting both site-based and network-level projects
* Leading, supporting, and mentoring your team to develop their careers
A Day in the Life
You will be based at one of our operational sites, where you will provide practical guidance to your team and gain a clear understanding of the site's operations. This involves collecting data, solving problems in a fast-paced environment, and creating an operational plan to increase productivity and efficiency.
You will also set up new projects that improve operational processes and equipment maintenance, while prioritizing team management and performance development, including organizing additional training.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+
* Relevant experience in a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex business processes
* Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team
* Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between stakeholders, including third-party vendors
* Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While preferred qualifications are not required, they may be beneficial in securing this position. Relevant experience in the following areas is highly valued:
* A degree
* Experience with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols
* Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems
* Experience using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems
* Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
