Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Co. Louth, Ireland
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to play a pivotal role in keeping our operation running, through working on pre-planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the business.
You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and you will be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring that its performance meets targets and KPIs.
This role is Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays.
Duties:
* Perform maintenance and repairs on company equipment.
* Resolve any issues and report any defects or concerns which could potentially cause future problems.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
* Undertake basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs of all faulty production equipment.
* Respond to and carry out reactive maintenance tasks in an efficient and effective manner, minimising disruption to the business.
* Ensure any defects or issues are logged.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment which is compliant with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.
* Carry out any other maintenance duties as required and confirmed with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
* Degree or equivalent within Mechanical Engineering.
* Knowledge and understanding of working within a production industry.
* Experience within Mechanical & Electrical fault finding.
* Knowledge of theories and principles of engineering for both electrical and mechanical maintenance across all disciplines.
* Sound understanding of design concepts.
* Experience working within a FMCG environment beneficial.
* Demonstrated track record in diagnosing and correcting technical problems using own initiative and in a team-based GMP environment.
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
