Group Financial Accountant – Dublin / Hybrid
We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our expanding team in a leading Construction Group located in Dublin.
This role will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the finance team, playing a crucial part in the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced finance environment and possess excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and high attention to detail.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review management accounts and statutory financial statements;
* Assist in the preparation of annual filings and liaise with external auditors;
* Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting;
* Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the consolidation of group results;
* Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions;
* Manage and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to supplier and customer accounts;
* Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for Ireland and overseas;
* Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations;
* Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures for all finance processes;
* Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes;
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making;
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes and systems.
Your Skills:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with at least 1 year post-qualification experience;
* Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
* High attention to detail and a strong focus on controls and processes;
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
* Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
