Job Description Role Purpose
The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing activity and resources within the Residential Area. The primary objective is to ensure high-quality nursing care and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Adult Services meet all Health Act 2007-2013 regulations and HIQA standards for Intellectual Disability Services.
* Act as a Person in Charge under the Health Act 2007-2013 regulation when required.
* Manage resources, plan staffing, roster staff, develop staff, supervise, facilitate communication, and provide professional/clinical leadership.
* Support the core values and mission statement of Stewarts Care.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding all matters and information obtained during employment.
* Promote and support the implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
* Contribute to the strategic management and planning process for Adult Services.
* Provide high-level professional and clinical leadership.
* Work with team members to ensure Adult Services meets professional standards according to national standards.
* Ensure efficient and effective resource use, optimal skill mix, and staff allocation based on agreed dependency needs.
* Collaborate with personnel to develop and review protocols, policies, and procedures within Adult Services.
* Effectively manage workloads.
* Ensure that Person in Charge responsibilities are undertaken where required.
* Verify CNM1/2 managers are effectively performing managerial roles.
* Maintain regular participatory visits to living areas, documenting outcomes and findings.
* Promote protection and safeguarding of all service users.
* Foster multidisciplinary communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
* Demonstrate leadership skills and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice within Adult Services.
* Continuously monitor and support care provisions within Adult Services.
