AtkinsRéalis, one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services, is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant to join our team in Ireland.
We are renowned for significant projects across various markets, including Buildings, Water, Aviation, Energy, Transportation, and Rail. Our Health and Safety Consulting team provides high-quality safety advisory services to our internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fulfilling duties as outlined in the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
* Reviewing designs and designer risk assessments for compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Attending design coordination meetings, site, and stakeholder meetings.
* Coordinating residual hazards and risks.
* Providing competent advice to clients and designers on compliance with legislation and best practices.
* Supporting internal and external teams with project-specific health and safety requirements.
* Managing contractor safety and reviewing contractor safety documentation.
* Leading dedicated projects, including financial management.
* Delivering general health and safety consultancy services to clients.
* Supporting project bids with health and safety expertise.
* Providing technical support to office projects on design safety.
* Developing existing and new clients through business development strategies.
* Ensuring quality assurance and environmental management compliance with organisational policies.
* Collaborating with the QSSE team to enhance our safety culture and implement key safety programmes.
Skills and Experience:
* Sound knowledge of safety in design and construction safety.
* Experience in developing and improving company safety policies, culture, and systems.
* Competent report writing, time management skills, and ability to prioritise work across multiple projects.
* Flexibility to travel to sites and projects within Ireland.
Your Qualifications:
* Relevant Health and Safety Degree/Diploma qualifying for membership of IOSH or Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Ireland with post-qualification Safety specific training.
* Certificate of attendance at Engineers Ireland/ACEI PSDP CPD training.
