Experienced Receptionist – 4* Grand Hotel, Malahide
Are you an experienced and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist? If so, we've just the role for you. We are now recruiting experienced Receptionists to join our front office team on a permanent and part-time basis.
The candidates must have previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities will include:
1. To greet guests in a warm and friendly manner outlining the facilities of the Hotel.
2. Check in and out guests efficiently and professionally using Opera Cloud.
3. Advise all Departments of any special requests by guests i.e. dinner reservations, ordering taxis, room service etc.
4. Correctly post all charges to the individual guest rooms.
5. Inform the Duty Manager of any guest queries, complaints or suggestions.
6. Handle safe deposit for guests, also dealing with foreign exchange and monies at the Desk.
7. Oversee that all Departmental floats are signed in and out in the correct manner.
8. Attend all Departmental and Hotel training courses and meetings as required.
9. Pass over correct and detailed information to the following shift ‘pass-over’.
10. Update Opera on serviced and out of service rooms by liaising with the Accommodation Department.
The ideal candidate:
Would have good knowledge of Opera PMS - ideally Opera Cloud version.
Would have at least 2 years experience in a busy hotel reception.
