Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Join the Major Adaptations team at Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) as a Quantity Surveyor on an ongoing temporary contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure effective commercial management of major adaptation projects to residential properties.
* Plan, manage, and deliver works to a high standard with minimal defects.
* Prepare specifications, drawings, bills of quantities, and schedule of rates for tender invitations.
* Interpret contract terms and conditions, managing commercial risk effectively.
* Manage NIHE's contracts, ensuring maximum value for money and minimising risk.
* Administer contracts, collaborating with contractors and consultants for effective progress.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Building/Construction or equivalent qualification plus 1 year of relevant experience.
* BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification in Construction plus 2 years of relevant experience.
* 3+ years of experience in a construction-related discipline.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in planning and delivering value for money construction programs.
* Experience with designated budgets, financial controls, and NEC 3/4 construction contracts.
