Meet the team
The Legal Office in RTÉ provides an in-house legal service to all parts of the organisation, including commercial litigation, defamation, employment law and so on.
We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary/Executive to join our Legal Office covering maternity-related leave.
About the role:
1. Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to a busy legal team
2. Preparation of weekly legal reports and agenda for weekly meetings
3. File management including accurate filing, ensuring safe and efficient handling of confidential data
4. Work with the legal team on a proactive basis - communicating and working to resolve any issues which may arise on a day-to-day basis.
5. Liaising with other departments or with external contacts as required
6. Manage Personal Injuries Insurance Log
7. Preparation of insurance reports and updates
8. Assist the Director of Legal Affairs with the management and preparation of office budgets, financial provisions of litigation cases and drafting correspondence
9. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced legal secretary/executive who wants to work in a busy, interesting and challenging environment.
About you:
1. Experience in a similar role, minimum 2 years
2. Experience in dealing with litigation together with some commercial experience
3. Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and to pay close attention to detail
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Strong communication skills, both written and oral
6. A diploma in legal studies would be an advantage
7. Excellent technical skills including MS Office packages and other relevant legal practice management systems, ideally with Practice Evolve.

This appointment will be made at the Administrative Grade 1 level and is being offered on a fixed-purpose contract basis covering maternity-related leave, and expected to last 12 months. The expected salary on appointment is between €42,091 - €57,005, subject to relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
