Project Worker
To work with the Service Manager and within the authority delegated to the post holder by the service manager; to assist in the day to day running of the service whilst remaining on the roster.
The Project Worker will be responsible for processing referrals, conducting assessments, care/support planning and implementation of care/support plans, engaging with tenants, supporting tenants with housing sustainment plans, managing maintenance, ensuring payment of rent issues, delivering practice supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resident Support: Provide leadership on support staff (basic grade) by demonstrating the highest standard of social care practice, with adherence to tenancy law.
* Quality: Ensure a consistently high standard of care for the tenants and that the rights of the tenants are protected and promoted.
* Communication: Carry out duties in accordance with the values, ethos & mission statement of KVHA.
* Staff Supervision: Direct, develop, support and supervise staff and students (if applicable) in their duties.
* Property: Monitor and ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety standards are met within the service in accordance with the Health and Safety policy.
* Information Management: Support and monitor the further development of appropriate information management systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Qualifications: Possess the National Diploma in Applied Social Care Studies awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland, (QQI) / DIT, or equivalent qualification.
* Experience: Not less than 2 years experience in residential social care services; preferably in the homeless/supported housing sector.
Salary: Competitive salary range $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience. The actual salary will be discussed during the interview process.
