The Hotel Operations Manager opportunity at the 4* Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin is now available. The Moriarty Group is an Irish-owned company involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company’s portfolio consists of three large SuperValu stores and two 4* hotels, including the Bracken Court Hotel. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our Management Team.
The Role
This is a full-time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7, including weekends and public holidays.
Main Duties
* The Operations Manager will be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of this busy 66-bedroom property and a team of 45+ staff.
* Work in conjunction with the Hotel Operations Director on setting annual budget and target proposals for the property.
* Work closely with the team on strategy planning for the hotel.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Manage a team of up to 45+ people on busy shifts.
* Drive sales initiatives within the property in conjunction with the sales team.
* Coordinate the Health & Safety agenda in the property.
* Work with the senior team in setting and driving team objectives through meetings and training.
* Facilitate bi-weekly sales, HOD, and Food & Beverage meetings as well as daily planning meetings.
* Ensure excellent service is provided to all guests and visitors.
Requirements
* 2-3 years experience as an Operations Manager within a busy 3*/4* hotel property.
* Strong knowledge of all departments within the hotel, particularly food & beverage and sales & events.
* Experience in training and development of staff and HODs.
* Proven track record in achieving results and targets.
* Ability to oversee the hotel's HACCP system.
* Experience working with hotel front office systems is essential.
* Excellent understanding of hotel financials.
* Strong people management skills.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
