Role: CAD / REVIT Technician
Location Base: Head Office, Loughrea Co. Galway
Salary: Competitive
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the production of multi-discipline coordinated models, drawings and schedules.
2. Align design development with the project BIM execution plan, which includes regular coordination and model checks and sharing of model data throughout the design team.
3. Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers.
4. Production and maintenance of MIDP throughout the project.
5. Participation in drawing/design reviews and facilitation of feasibility studies.
6. Liaising with project teams to ascertain project needs and timelines.
7. Taking instructions from Engineers and producing drawings with limited supervision or direction.
8. Use initiative and knowledge to support the CAD team and grow expertise in the use of CAD software and other tools.
9. Work as part of a team in delivering one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
2. A minimum of 3+ years’ experience within a BIM Coordination function.
3. Mechanical or Electrical background with a proven track record in a similar role.
4. Strong communication and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.
