About the Role:
EPS require a Trainee Land Surveyor to work under the supervision of our Senior Surveyor based at the head office in Mallow, Co. Cork.
As a land surveyor, you will be measuring and mapping the Earth's surface to determine property boundaries, land features, and other important details to aid in the construction and design of water and wastewater treatment plants across Ireland.
Training will be provided with the role, but a keen interest in technology, topography, GPS, and working at site locations will be essential. Previous experience is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities (You will be trained to):
* Complete topographical surveys of various scales and complexities alongside the Senior Surveyor or independently.
* Complete laser scan surveys of various sites to a high level of accuracy and precision using the correct methodology and quality control measures.
* Process multi-data sets from various instrumentation to a high working standard, including topographical, laser scan, and UAV data.
* Maintain the instrumentation to a high working standard and ensure it is fit for purpose.
* Become competent in the use of AutoCAD, N4ce, Cyclone, and other survey software along with Leica Total Stations, laser scanners, GPS technology, and UAV.
* Carry out engineering setting out for projects within the company, both Civil and Mechanical.
* Collaborate with different departments assisting project delivery.
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Strong interest in learning the Land / Engineering surveyor profession.
* Appreciation of drawing standards and CAD software packages.
* Ability to learn Survey processing software packages.
* Keen interest in learning from the senior surveyor on all aspects of the role.
* Flexible to work nationwide.
Qualifications:
* Civil engineering experience would be an advantage.
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
* Bachelor's degree in a related field advantageous but not essential.
* Full clean driving licence.
