Medforce are delighted to be recruiting a CORU registered Senior Physiotherapist for a high reputable acute facility in Drogheda, County Louth.
The Senior Physiotherapist will play a key role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with neurological conditions. We are looking for a motivated professional who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
This is a full time 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday, plus free onsite parking, incremental pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
* Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support patients in improving mobility, function, and overall well-being.
* Work independently to manage a clinical caseload efficiently while ensuring high standards of care.
* Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding rehabilitation and self-management strategies.
* Supervise and support junior physiotherapists, students, and assistants as required.
* Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with hospital policies and professional guidelines.
Essential Requirements
* BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU).
* Registered with CORU as a Physiotherapist.
* A minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience, with at least one year at a senior level working in neurology.
* Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans for neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience in a hospital setting with exposure to acute and rehabilitative care.
* Postgraduate training in neurological rehabilitation or related fields.
