Maintenance Manager x 2
This is a key role within the Technical Services and Maintenance Department, responsible for managing contracts, contractors, specialist services and reactive maintenance for healthcare facilities.
Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee the management of contracts, contractors, specialist services and reactive maintenance for a portfolio of buildings. This includes ensuring compliance with fire alarm, emergency lighting, passive fire prevention and fire fighting equipment standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance of buildings, plant, electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Manage staff, materials, equipment, finances and contractors associated with the Technical Services and Maintenance Department.
* Develop technical specifications for tenders as required.
* Manage external contractors and ensure they have the required insurance cover and tax clearance certificates.
* Foster and develop harmonious working relationships between staff.
* Manage the maintenance service within allocated budgetary constraints.
* Plan, organise and control work to provide a continuous and quality service to Facilities.
* Compile and record maintenance reports consistent with best practice and quality control measures.
* Manage and report on the computerised job scheduling system.
* Maintain good outward communications with building occupants, senior management and contractors.
* Promote a quality working environment within the Maintenance Department.
Requirements:
* Trade certification in Mechanical and/or Electrical with career experience.
* 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to upskill in order to stay current with industry trends and evolving best practices.
