We are seeking an experienced professional to drive client development and revenue growth through a coordinated approach across key accounts, strategic industry groups, and practice groups.
The Role
Client development managers oversee efforts to nurture and expand current client relationships and establish new ones. You will work in unison with partners, sector leads, and client teams, providing valuable guidance and necessary support to help them succeed in the market and align with our strategic growth priorities.
This role requires operating at senior levels within the firm, contributing to innovative ideas, programme design, and solutions aligned with our Client Development objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieving a deep understanding of clients' priorities, strategies, and structures to deliver demonstrable value.
* Working closely with partners and client teams to build a winning culture and environment around assigned clients and targets.
* Supporting business planning, including account plans, client workshops, feedback, and relationship heatmaps for designated key accounts.
* Establishing best-in-class client development practices within designated industry and key account groups.
* Providing visibility on relevant industry news and events.
* Bringing a rhythm to the account team/industry group, facilitating meetings related to client development activity.
* Networking, connecting people, and contributing to knowledge sharing and community building.
* Driving a culture of feedback through client experience surveys and post-decision reviews.
* Advocating for CRM adoption and effective use, supporting account teams with advice and assistance.
* Defining and implementing sector growth strategies, coordinating activities within the industry group.
Requirements:
* Considerable experience in business development within a law firm or comparable organisation.
* Strong sales methodology knowledge and evidence of its application to drive opportunities to revenue.
* Evidence of driving new business on key accounts or across an industry vertical.
* Demonstrated experience setting account/sector strategies and building relationships with key decision makers.
* Commercial acumen, generating revenue through new relationships, and understanding client/sector value propositions.
* Experience working on cross-functional projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and using data analytics models.
* Target-driven mindset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and effective planning & project management.
