The main responsibilities for this role are to lead a team of chefs in managing the daily operations and service of a busy, all-year-round food establishment. You will be responsible for spearheading the menu, developing new ideas and recipes, and overseeing a skilled kitchen team to deliver exceptional cuisine to customers and tourists.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Develop and implement menus, including creating new recipes and dishes
* Oversee stock control, ordering, budgeting, and forecasting to maintain profitability
* Foster excellent communication, management, organisation, and time management skills
* Work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, days, nights, and weekends
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel environment
* A creative flair and passion for cooking, with an impressive portfolio
* Experience managing an all-year-round food offering and kitchen team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
