An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering cutting-edge automated equipment solutions. We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and commissioning machine control system software for high-tech engineering applications. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects from concept to full implementation, collaborating closely with a dynamic team and customers across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited to the Following:
1. Design and integrate control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, Robotics, Motion Control, HMI, SCADA, and Vision systems.
2. Develop, test, commission, and support machine control software to meet project requirements.
3. Design system architectures, process flows, and software design specifications.
4. Ensure all equipment designs comply with CE, electrical, machinery safety, and client-specific standards.
5. Create, interpret, and develop design and validation documentation for regulated industries.
6. Specify and select control system components to meet project specifications.
7. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary project team and support customers throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Identify opportunities to improve and standardize control system designs using the latest technologies.
Job Requirements
Experience:
* Proven experience in automated machine design, specification, and development.
* Strong expertise in PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms.
* Familiarity with software architectures and standards, including GAMP, ISA88, ISA95, and 21CFR Part 11 compliance.
* Hands-on experience with equipment testing and debugging.
* Strong knowledge of robotics, motion control, machine vision, and pneumatics (KUKA robot experience is a plus).
* Ability to create and review technical documentation for regulated industries.
Qualifications:
* Level 8 qualification in engineering or a closely related discipline.
* 5+ years of relevant experience (desirable).
