Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated candidate for the role of Software Engineer. In this position, you will work within a Scrum team and be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing solutions for a variety of land mobile wireless communications products. The role of the Software Engineer includes, but is not limited to:
1. Participating in the entire software development life-cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, utilizing Agile methodologies.
2. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other engineers, to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
3. Contributing to the improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
4. Hands-on interaction with product hardware and laboratory equipment for development, testing, and debugging purposes
Basic Requirements
5. Bachelors (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
6. Experience with C/C++ and object oriented development
7. Experience with Linux and/or Unix
8. Advanced debugging skills
Desired Skills:
9. Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman etc.
10. Experience with Python
11. Exposure to Agile development practices
12. Experience with Git, Jira
13. Excellent organizational skills
14. Ability to work with and debug legacy code
15. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
16. Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
17. Understanding of real time processing in an embedded environment
Note: This position requires the employee to work from office initially for a period of time and hybrid (work from office 2-3 days per week or as required by the business) afterwards.
