Maynooth University wishes to appoint a Systems Administrator at AOII grade, on a full-time permanent basis to be a member of the Infrastructure team in IT Services providing support to ICT infrastructure services and their use by the University.
This is an opportunity to join IT Services providing Internet via HEAnet, campus and cloud data centre, campus network, identity and directory services, Wi-Fi, voice, Microsoft 365, VLE, web and storage services.
This role reports to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, with a technical lead role provided by the Senior Systems Programmer and is part of the Infrastructure team.
The Infrastructure team works alongside the User Support team as part of the IT Operations function in IT Services.
Current initiatives include upgrades to the campus network, continued development of MU cloud and hybrid data center services, disaster and cyber recovery scenario planning and continued expansion and usage of Microsoft 365 services.
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
