As a Software Engineer, you will be a fundamental part of a delivery project collaborating with internal IT Specialists and strategic partners through all phases of the development life-cycle.

Primary Responsibilities: Perform all phases of software engineering including; requirements analysis, application design, code development, and testing.
Design and implement performance and operational enhancements.
Design & Develop reusable components, patterns, and frameworks, encouraging innovation that will enable team velocity.
Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and performance improvement.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure that developed code meets software engineering best practices and guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines.
Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases.
Work with a team of software engineers for one or more Agile scrum teams assigned to work on the project.
Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and design solutions as required.
Design, code, test, debug, and document software, whilst enhancing existing components to ensure that software meets business requirements.
Work very closely with architecture groups to drive software solutions.
Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership.
Collaborate on design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside of the scrum team.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or Experience with Software Engineering.
J2EE proficiency with Microservice Technologies development experience.
Experience with Azure services and solutions, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS)(terraform), platform as a service (PaaS), Spring Boot framework and build tools like Maven, or Gradle.
Experience with designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure RESTful APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with various front-end and back-end systems.
Experience with utilizing Azure services and tools to deploy, monitor, and optimize applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security in a cloud environment.
Practiced Knowledge of agile development practices and DevOps principles and experience in tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure Dev Ops.
Intermediate level of experience with contributing to or helps drive architecture/design, technology, and tool decisions and implementations.
Working knowledge of Development Environments such as IntelliJ, VS Code etc.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with technologies such as: HTML/JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Python.
Experience in collaborating with DevOps teams for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience in applying design patterns to solve common software design challenges and improve code quality.
Experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Knowledge of anti-patterns and when to avoid certain design patterns based on specific requirements.
Proven solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to containerization and orchestration preferably using tools like Splunk, APM etc.
Proven ability to develop and sustain a mentality of life-long learning through ongoing investigation and investment in new coding, technical and operational skills, and knowledge.
